Cone Penetrometer Testing (CPT) is accomplished utilizing our AMS-9500 direct push probe unit. The machine is anchored to the ground with a steel frame and 6-inch flight augers drilled into the ground. By anchoring the rig, we are capable of exerting 29,000 lbs of energy to the cone. Results of the resistance and soil type are viewed via laptop computer as the test is being conducted. We have successfully completed CPT borings to depths of over 100 feet.
